KCAI student group event

KCAI is hosting their student group event and it's a halloween party! If you aren't going on the NYC trip, try and get a group together and go. A great chance to meet other design students from other schools. Info for the event is here on facebook.

Emily Pilloton of Project H Design was recently featured in Metropolis Magazine. Select images and video of Project H Design's initiatives are currently on view in the UCM Gallery of Art & Design through November 6th. Pilloton's book "Design Revolution: 100 Products that Empower People" is available at the UCM Bookstore for a short time and quantities are limited.

You can read the Metropolis Magazine article by Karen Steen online here.

In short, Pilloton created Project H Design as a way to do humanitarian projects when she got fed up with the demoralizing realities of her design profession. You can find out more about the initiatives and how to get involved by visiting http://projecthdesign.org/ or by visiting the art gallery now through November 6th.

2010 Trends & Color Presentation

Presenter Scott Butterfield is a Trends Consultant within the Creative Innovation and Discovery Division at Hallmark Cards, Inc. His charge is to support, inform and inspire the creative community within Hallmark. To help facilitate this mission, the Trends Group develops a yearly color and style forecast for Hallmark as well as seasonal palettes and design directions.

Yet another great event that will get you out of Warrensburg and into the city! If you know anyone in Interior Design, you could probably make arrangements to ride with them. It sounds like many of them will be going to it.

Find out more details & directions here.
